for some reason i felt that since i’ve got a high enough grade in my classes i’m totally okay with winging all my finals tomorrow
jared and i have been misrepresenting ourselves for three years
out of any television duo in history, these guys are the perfect onscreen representation of the both of us
i could write a 50 page dissertation on why kesha is swell and great.
when people call people who aren’t their mom ‘mom’
In the United States:
As someone who has lived in both the north (western NY) and south (central and south VA) I can say for sure that this is ONE OF THE MOST ACCURATE THINGS EVER.
You all would be dying in our 90 degree weather which is nice weather to us. The cold is truly the only way to beat the South.
90 degrees is pretty normal for us but it’s also really low humidity
i’d die in the south’s 5000% humidity hahaha
I’m not really psyched for the Xbox One, but this is one of the best commercials I’ve seen in a while.
I enjoy reading the youtube comments. So many guys being pissing into the air about the female being the dominant one.
From what I got out of this, the XBOX One is showing that, with ownership of the xbox, you get power to command and control - it recognizes voice commands and faces. The boyfriend obeying her was a part of that theme - because she owns the xbox, she has control.
“I hope THIS CONSOLE FAILS!!! What a bunch of feminazi BS to appeal to women, Xbox doesn’t care about true gamers anymore, they want to appeal to the family/ casual gamers… They’re pulling a Wii, and they probably will crash and burn with this console… They’re trying to get lots of people to buy this and for the hardcore community to get them sales for their games… YOU CAN’T APPEAL TO EVERYONE!!!”
This ad is ridiculous.
It falls into the same old trap of thinking that in order to make a girl a “gamer” you have to make her hyper-masculine.
Excuse you, do you see the highlights in her hair? Her dress? Those silver shoes? Her beautiful-ass face? That is NOT the image of a hyper-masculine woman. We’d be seeing a lot more plaid and sweatpants if they were trying to make her masculine. She drinks beer, yes. She expects to be obeyed, yes. Those are not purely masculine traits.
And the comments continue to become more violent and disgusting toward the woman, and insulting toward Microsoft.
What do you think?
I think that the sheer vitriol is almost enough to make me want to buy an Xbox, just to terrify and frighten the fedora-wearing douchebro crowd.
Fortunately, the Xbox is pricy and I don’t want the Kinect watching me sleep, so it won’t happen, but still.
Delicious, delicious mantears.
Dear Gamers: If you want people to take you seriously and stop treating you like you’re all immature children, stop behaving that way.
this doesnt even need a caption… every girl knows what this is…
i will never not reblog. its too accurate
wait do girls really go in those weird half standing positions and stand on their heads type deal???
it’s funny to me because the original video was about over-eating on thanksgiving hahaha
ereshkigal said:no. moving to finland/norway/sweden/iceland will solve all my problems and you can’t tell me otherwise. POHJANMAAN KAUTTA!!
THOSE ARE THE EXCEPTIONS BECAUSE EVERYTHING IS ICE AND FJORDS AND NOBODY CARES ABOUT ANYONE ELSE BECAUSE THEY LOVE THEIR ICE AND FJORDS.
Q:There's this thing about Lion Hunting(thanks to that michelle bachman picture) with the lions more or less just lying around and how lion hunting is the most cowardly thing you can do, that has been going around, and although obviously you are cool with hunting in general, as am I, I was wondering as to your opinion on this phenomenon. Obviously traditional lion hunting(i.e. with spears) isn't cowardly, but... Thoughts?
Regardless of how people are going about these lion hunts in Africa (be it with a high-powered rifle, or with an atlatl), the fact of the matter is that it’s still perfectly legal, and that it still does more good than harm, regardless of how “cowardly” it may seem to animal rights activists. Being “brave” or “cowardly” is not the point of these hunts: The point of these hunts is that they keep wildlife reserves operational so that all animals within the park are safe from poachers.
Ms. Bachman likely paid more money to kill that lion than I did to buy my own house. All that money goes to help conservation efforts in the reserve where the lion was killed. In many cases, parks like that are privately run and cannot be sustained on eco-tourism alone. They would go out of business, thus leaving the park unprotected and the animals at the mercy of poachers, if not for carefully-regulated legal hunts like the one Ms. Bachman paid for.
In most cases, the target animals of these hunts are pre-picked by park guides before the hunt even begins because they are sick, old, or beyond breeding age, and are going to die anyway without further contributing to the survival of the species. The option is to either let said animal wither away on its own, allow it to fall prey to poachers, or to charge a hunter hundreds of thousands of dollars to kill it so that the money can go back to conservation.
Even the World Wildlife Funds recognizes the benefits of regulated hunting in Africa. It keeps poachers out of parks, brings in huge sums of profit to keep the establishments running, and the meat from the animals killed is donated to the indigenous people.
But so long as there’s a picture of a pretty woman posing next to a dead animal, everyone is going to ignore the facts and focus on how “horrible” and “cruel” the death of that one single animal was because logic < emotional bias.
